  • What is Stadium of Hope?

    • Last year, more than 42,000 children in Australia were confirmed to have experienced abuse or neglect. That’s the size of a packed crowd at Brisbane’s iconic Suncorp Stadium.

      To shine a light on the scale of this issue, Act for Kids created Stadium of Hope – inviting families, businesses, and communities to purchase virtual seats for just $10 each (or $40 for a family of four, for instance) and help fill the Stadium of Hope in a united show of support.

      Funds raised will provide essential Integrated Therapy Services – psychology, speech therapy, and occupational therapy – to children and families affected by trauma who would otherwise not have access.

  • How do I purchase a virtual seat?

    • To purchase a virtual seat, first select whether you wish to purchase as an individual/s, family or as an organisation. Then simply choose the number of virtual seats you wish to purchase and complete your details. All proceeds go directly to Act for Kids to fund essential therapy and support services.

  • Is my virtual seat a tax-deductible donation?

    • Yes, your purchase of a virtual seat in the Stadium of Hope is a tax-deductible donation. Act for Kids is a registered charity, and all donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible in Australia. After your purchase, you will receive a receipt via email which you can use for your tax records.

  • Is there a minimum or maximum number of seats I can purchase?

    • The minimum number of virtual seats you can purchase is one, and the maximum limit is 20. Additional donations on a seat purchase will be converted to represent seats. The more virtual seats you purchase in the Stadium of Hope, the bigger difference our therapists can make in the lives of children impacted by abuse and neglect.

  • Where does my donation go?

    • When you take your virtual seat in the Act for Kids Stadium of Hope, you’re helping kids through a tough time, and giving them every chance to thrive through our Integrated Therapy Services.

      Trauma can impact how children learn, speak and connect. That’s why we bring together occupational therapists, speech therapists and psychologists to provide the right support at the right time.

      Working with children impacted by harm or trauma is complex, but the sooner we start helping, the more chance we can change a child’s life for the future.

  • Who is Act for Kids?

    • Act for Kids is an Australian for-purpose organisation providing therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced or are at risk of trauma. With 34 centres and a team of close to 500 staff from Adelaide all the way up to the Cape York Peninsula, our service includes integrated therapy, support for families, education programs to empower kids and safe houses in remote First Nations communities.

      Our purpose is to help keep kids safe, heal from trauma and lead happy lives.

  • Can I share my support on social media?

    • Absolutely! After purchasing your virtual seat, you will receive your personalised social media tile that you can share to show your support. Either click the buttons to share directly to Facebook or LinkedIn or download your tile to share on Instagram or with friends and family via email.

  • Can my company get involved?

    • Corporates can get on board by having a custom fundraising page, branded to their organisation. Set a unique fundraising goal and rally your team, clients and wider community to help fill the Stadium of Hope. It’s a powerful way to show your support, engage staff, and make a real difference together. It’s simple – you provide us with a few basic details (why you’re supporting, logo etc) and we’ll get your dedicated page all set up for you!   • How can I ensure my details are kept private?

    • At Act for Kids, we take your privacy and security responsibilities extremely seriously. Any personal details you provide are handled with care and protected in line with our privacy policy. We never share your information without consent, and all donations are processed through secure, encrypted systems.

  • How can I become more involved with Act for Kids?

    • As a participant of Stadium of Hope, you will now receive communications from Act for Kids and can also join our social channels on Facebook and Instagram for up-to-date information, parenting tips and information about our events.
